The Origins of the Name Aminta

The name Aminta embodies the very essence of the estate and arises from the meeting of three elements deeply connected to its identity: family, territory and culture.

The first inspiration is a tribute to Anita, mother of Andrea Cecchi. A woman of remarkable sensitivity, determination and vision, she was a guiding presence both within the family and in business, helping to pass on values of belonging, passion and care that remain at the heart of the estate today.

Following her passing in 2017, the family dedicated the acquisition of the Montalcino estate, completed the following year, to her memory. It stands as a tribute to an extraordinary mother, grandmother and entrepreneur, whose artistic sensibility also inspired the creative and chromatic elements that define the estate’s visual identity.

The second source of inspiration is Monte Amiata, which dominates the landscape of Castelnuovo dell’Abate and accompanies the daily life of the estate with its distinctive silhouette. Its presence plays a fundamental role in shaping the character of this territory, contributing significantly to its unique microclimate.

A third influence is cultural and poetic: Aminta, the pastoral drama by Torquato Tasso. This reference stems from the presence of a natural thermal spring emerging at the edge of the woodland bordering the estate, evoking one of the symbolic elements and most significant settings of the renowned literary work.

From the union of Anita and Amiata comes Aminta, a name that brings together family memory, a profound connection to the land and cultural sensibility, perfectly reflecting the identity of this precious estate.
